# Activities ### What can you do in the Pirateverse? Right now you’re able to walk around Tortuga, meet the iconic characters, talk to and see other players, explore the shops and play Liar’s Dice at the tavern with other players. There’s a lot more coming in the short-term, and even more planned for the future. ### Minigames Minigames provide great opportunities to host community tournaments and, when we add doubloon wagering, they give players another way to earn doubloons besides voyaging. We have dice and card games planned for the Tavern, each with their own cosmetic items. Looking ahead, we’re always open to ideas from the community for other games! ### Sailing Using the flagship sprites we’ve already created, we’ll add sailing into the game. Sail to player-owned islands, fight monsters at sea or venture to wild islands to gather resources and complete quests. ### Resources & Crafting As we expand the world, we’ll add more resources into the game to create additional layers to the economy. There will be a mixture of common and rare resources used to craft a variety of items and cosmetics. ### Skills & Professions In addition to the ‘hard skills’; Strength, Navigation and Luck, we’ll add ‘soft skills’ such as mining and fishing. These skills will be improved by performing certain actions in-game and lead to players being able to perform better in certain areas of the game, or have a higher chance of collecting rare resources. ### Exploration Exploration will be encouraged. As the world expands, we’ll give you a reason to go exploring to the farthest reaches of the world, or to explore each island to see what secrets it holds. Maybe there’s a secret dungeon or cave, full of powerful monsters and valuable treasure. ### Quests Quests given by NPCs at Tortuga will send players off into the world to complete tasks, collect items and more. Players will be able to complete quests on their own, or team up with others.
