# Pirateverse (alpha build) ### What is the Pirateverse? The Pirateverse is the name of our pixel art metaverse, currently in the Alpha stage of development. Taking a fun-first approach to game design, we built Tortuga to be the social hub at the center, from which we’ll expand to offer more activities and experiences for players to enjoy both alone and with friends.

There are currently no Web3 elements in the game. For the sake of speed, we plan on adding Web3 elements at a later date.
